BANS and John are working hard to get the newsletters up and running again so we can better keep our members informed and have a more active membership.
We're looking a getting several of them out a year as there are lots of issues that affect bowhunting in Nova Scotia and they usually happen outside of the hunting season.
One of the things I have proposed is a letter to the editor section where members could ask a question or voice some cornerns regarding bowhunting or issues directly affecting bowhunting. I believe this would encourage discussion between members and would serve to identify concerns that should be dealt with.
I'm also looking at a "tips" section where individuals could send in a tip regarding bowhunting, shooting, tips for food plots, etc. Perhaps a random draw for a small prize for those who send in an article or tip.
SO if you have any tips, concerns, or perhaps an interesting story related to bowhunting in Nova Scotia please forward them to me at Just_me1962@hotmail.com.
I can't promise everything will make it in the newsletters but we hope to get enough material so each newsletter will address concerns and provide some useful information.
As some of you on here may have noticed I have been, at times, rather vocal regarding participation in/at BANS and John asked if I would consider being editor. After running my mouth for so long it was virtually impossible to say no. I'm asking members of BANS and anyone who bowhunts to consider helping making the newlestters a success as we will all benefit.
