We're coming up on that time...just a couple of months away from the Federation AGM.
Any notions out there as to what we should be proposing as Resolutions??
With my visit to the DNR last September, I'd like to see a formalized Resolution that the DNR develops a Deer Management Plan...and that they adhere to a consultation process with the hunters so we can offer up our inputs and field experiences.
Anything got you folks 'gnawing at the bit' ?

Huntwisely and I have spoken about it quite a bit ! We're both of the opinion that the DNR has to step up to the plate...and start managing the wildlife they're supposedly entrusted with. The bit about adhering to consultation with hunters?...The primitive weapons season that got proposed was in complete difference to what hunters had proposed / wanted / needed...and it was of no benefit to our wildlife either. We aren't just a bunch of pretty faces ;D...we've got a lot to offer to them (DNR), but they've got to start paying attention...IMHO. I dunno...Maybe we, through the Federation, need to go right to the top and have our mandate reaffirmed / recognized.
