Since last Christmas I have been getting things for my compound and while it isn't my focus right now I still shoot it regularly just to keep up with it. I have changed my sight pins, got a string loop and also got a G5 hunter peep. This peep doesn't use the surgical tubing which I have had issues with in the past. The reason I switched was that the old peep stopped twisting around even with increased tension in the tubing. So I installed the new peep and the first thing I noticed is that the peep doesn't turn. Problem with this is that the old peep could be installed in any direction and would be pulled into the right position by the tubing. Which means the string has a 1/4 twist in it now if I place the new peep in the same location, and I have. Currently I have corrected it by twisting the string loop 1/4 turn which then lines up the peep when I pull back. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Do I need to take off the new peep and let the string rest and then reinstall it?

That will sort of work but your sight will likely want to twist over time. Most release the tension on the bow and twist one end of the string 1/2 turn and try it,if not, twist the other end 1/2 turn and try it again and so on until it wants to stay straight.Personally, before I went to the hindsight,I gave up on those and the tube type and went to the old style with the three grooves where you split the string into three sections and install it.With that, even if it pulls a little, you don't hardly notice a third section of string in your line of vision.

A good set of custom bow strings should help you out. I've had great luck with bowstrings from www.60xcustomstrings.com They help me get my first set ordered with no trouble. Very helpful people.
