I will be using my compound this year. Last year all I used was my recurve, but my shoulder has been bothering me, so it is the compound. I am far from ready to give up my bow (rifle hunting is kind of boring imo). So the letoff makes it easier to hold and aim. Both draw around 50#-55#. What are you shooting?

Nice looking bow. My recurve is an Impala take down, nothing special. Just came in from taking a few shots with both the compound and the recurve. Compound is dead on at 24yrds, cut the vanes on one of my other arrows with the last shot. You would think that by now I would know better the aiming for the nocks! The recurve I didn't shoot as much because I was starting to feel it. Also I found (probably because of my shoulder) I wasn't consistant out at the 24yrd marker. Checked the trail cam last night and have a very large doe passing by the camera around 1pm almost every day for the last week. She is the one I will be looking for monday when I can finally get out.

nothing wrong with an impala. I just putting together 4 XX75 1916 arrows with neon pink feather and a neon lime thingy feathr. Hopefully i'll get a chance to use them.
I have a 5 pointer coming at one of my sites but he's there at 5:00 am so I'm trying to figure out where he is during the next three hours. I have no doe tage but there are three bucks in the area I'm staking out with the five pointer being the smallest. Hopefully I get to bury some neon arrows in one of those kill zones.
When I was recovering from a broken bow arm elbow I found that shooting two arrow three times a day went a long way in getting the recurve up an running. Took a long time but it eventually came back. I shot for weeks from 5 to 7 yards until it all worked out.\ Take it slow.

First day shooting outside, beyond ten yards, after a busy winter working. Tried out a new 3d pheasant as well as checking out my burlap bag targets. The bag targets survived the winter pretty well except for the coyote which the squirrels unravelled by eating the stitching out.
Little rusty but should be in decent shape in a few weeks then I'll setup my new 3d sitting Mallard drake target. Should be a challenging target
