Well guys ,it's not pretty but it works perfectly fine and effective. My new boot dryer !!! We all know how it feels to have wet boots . It's not a good feeling to get ready for a hunt and go to slip your boots on and they are wet right from the get go . Sure you can buy a boot dryer at Walmart ,CT but what would be the fun in that and some are really expensive and this is the cheepest way to go and very portable. This boot dryer is something I can take apart ,put away in my pack or duffle bag and take it ot the camp with me . You will be need power of course but hey most places I go there is some sort of generated power . This baby works on tall rubber type boots ,low cut hunting boots and sneakers. When I decided to make one of these I decided I would make it out of 2" pipe that way there it dispursed the heat in a bigger area. you will also need 2- 1ft pieces of ABS ,2 inside 90degree elbows ,and two regular 90 degree elbows for the bottom of the tubes. Now there is one thing you have to remember when using it . DO NOT put it on high for "too" long cause it will melt the pipe LOL,LOL. Yes I learnt that from experience LOL,LOLThe best & safest way to dry your boots is to leave the hair dryer on low and in 20 -30 mins depending on how wet your boots are they will be completely dry and ready to go . This for me has been a great thing and I am sure every hunter has been in my situation before with wet boots . Here are a few pics of the rig I set up .
