I am now hooked on bear hunting. what a rush. I had never hunted bear before so I decided to try it with a new and young local outfitter in Bear River. I sat and saw tons of bears during the three days I was there. It's incredible how quiet these bears are. I saw nine different bears during the hunt and twenty minutes before the I took this boar we weighed in at 320 pounds. It was great but a little lonely as I was the only hunter in camp for the first three days. BUT I'll be looking for another bear next fall, the time of my life. Attachments:

Good job, congratulations! Next year are you going back to the outfitter or are you going to try baiting for yourself? Who was the outfitter and would you recommend them? Any idea of what packaged hunts would cost? I have tried baiting the last 2 years and have had noluck. But funny thing is I left the bait site alone this year and I walked in on Thursday and saw rocks flipped over and stumps torn up the whole way in! Might have been a good year for me to have baited, huh. Oh by the by welcome to the board, things have been quiet lately but i'm sure that will change soon.

I sent you an email regarding more of my story at the outfitters. Yes I highly recommend the outfitter and I'm going back next year. I'll be keeping my bear hunting money in Nova Scotia for the foreseable future.
