I was wondering where a person would go to buy a new longbow. And also what are some suggestions for makes and models. I mostly want it for target shooting, but maybe step up to trying for bunnies with it. I don't like the wife's longbow, seems like the draw weight is too low, it says 50# on it. Also where does someone go for good wood arrows? The local guys only carry carbon and aluminum. They can't be too expensive because I would need about 2 dozen to start ;D

Thats like the age old egg or chicken question! I'm still looking for the perfect bow for myself and have been making a few also. But MARTIN seems to be a popular & quality bow maker. Port Orford premium cedar arrows! And a patient and understanding wife, traditional archery is as bad as drugs 12 bows hanging on the wall 6 in the works about a hundred arrows laying around and just as many various bare shafts waiting to be made into arrows!!!!!!!!! I need help

Honestly AS, it was the wife that started this whole archery thing for us. She wanted to try it so we picked her a bow. After a little while I was trying to use her bow, but obviously it wasn't setup for me and from there it went a little crazy! She definitely understands, not so much the money but the addictive part.
