-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Beginning today, May 1, Natural Resources conservation officers will patrol Crown land areas of Hants County where in the past breaking the law has been an issue this time of year.
Members of the RCMP will work with the department as part of the enforcement team to help patrol and control access to some areas, especially Mosher Road.
"Events in this area have become a growing problem," said Minister of Natural Resources Carolyn Bolivar-Getson. "We are taking a proactive approach to respond to community concerns, prevent illegal activity and protect the environment."
There have been numerous issues with impaired driving, environmental damage, and driving unregistered vehicles.
Officers will be issuing warnings and charges.
