I would like to say congrats to everyone on a great season and their trophy's . I know for us here it has been a wonderful season, lots of action , lots of deer and great friends to share it with .

Here are a few pics of a friend that I guided on this hunt .I knew this buck was around my site as I had trail cam pics of him . He was visiting quite often and then he visited on the wrong day .185lbs heavy 6 point.

Here is father ,son time spent in the wilderness at it's finest .
On Friday morning, dad and I discussed that I had over 300 pics of doe's at one of my sites and it would be wise for him to harvest one if possible since he was lucky enough to get a doe tag this year .

So he decided to come down and try his luck which usually is pretty good !! I decided that we would try the site that was having the most action and we would stay all day and not move as the deer were coming out at all different times of the day . I had just set another guy (Eugene) from Amherst in another spot that had lots of action also but was producing more bucks lately. Well we arrived on stand at 6:25am and got settled in for the day . At around 12:25 pm I got a call from Eugene that he was out from the stand and he had not seen anything this morning and would not be returning because he was taking his children to the Christmas parade in Amherst . After I talked with him I looked at Dad and said we should leave and head for the other spot just for a change and get a chance to show him the awesome spot I had picked out early in the year . He said when we arrived there that "this was his kinda spot "and we got settled in and I got the video camera ready for the big moment . It was now 3 pm by the time we got there and had only 2 hours for it to happen . Well we sat there joking and kidding you know like all do when they are hunting and dreaming of what you want to harvest . It was a blast !!! Well it was now 4:30pm and we had thought it was it when all of a sudden I seen legs coming through the hardwoods and I said ...... dad,dad,dad there's a deer ..he said go on you fool ...I said no nuts there is man .and then he finally seen it ,, really nice doe . So i grabbed for the camera and the same darn thing happend this time as it did in the Chignecto Sanctuary ,,,,,,there was not enough light for the camera to pick it up ...so I ,,,you know, cursed about that issue and decide well I might as well watch my dad harvest this wonderful doe . We watched her for about 2 minutes slowly coming in and then all hell broke loose. Dad's browning BLR .308 marked the spot and down she went right in her tracks ,,well the exictement started .....we both jumed right off our chairs and hit nuckles ,,the job was done !!!!! Well we watched for a few minutes just to make sure it was over and it was . It was the end to a wonderful trip with my father that we always talk about doing this but rarely ever get to do as work ,family stuff ,and just busy times causes us not to get together ,but when we do look out we always make it exciting !!! We wanted so much to get it on video but we will always have it in our mind ,,the great time well spent this day .... Thanks for the fun dad and hope that we will have many more as it is something we all need to do !! Here are some pics of doe ,,,dry at that that my dad harvested .

The deer are starting to herd around here already ,,we seen more deer on the Wenworth Highway yesterday in buches then ever before .. Really nice to see .. I got pics for you also .

It's almost over, last attempt to get a big fat doe friday and saturday then put the broadheads away for another year!
