Isn't that what digital cameras and cell phones are for? I still don't understand why there needs to be a special force. Are they not just regular people doing the right thing? Why get your self labeled officially when no can do it anyway without all the "Official" mumbo jumbo. Picture is worth a 1000 words, and most of us carry some sort of carema now days either a small digital to take pictures of waldo or we have one built into our cell phones.
What is really needed is a change in the attitude of folks. Stop worrying about what they might do if they find out it's you and step up. We need to stop complaining about what we hear and either do some research or pass it along to those who might.
Just my two cents......

Organization is a small part of it, Training on what to do or not do - what to photograph or not photograph - how to stay out of trouble yourself, etc is the biggest reason to be part of a group - like River Watch, COP's , etc

Back to the Resolution topic :
After lively discussion, none of the three resolutions discussed passed as is, but were not completely abandoned. They did not make it as resolutions to the NSFAH, but it was suggested that we senf letter or hold meetings with DNR.
A letter (and hopefully a meeting with DNR) will be sent requesting that more information regarding bears either be published in the Hunting Regulations Summary or passed out when a license is bought. There were a few Bow hunting instructors there that heard our concerns and I believe the part of the bow course dealing with anatomy may get emphasized a little, especially for bears.
We will also be asking DNR that bears be treated more like big game animals with regards to the issuances of nuisance permits and the use of the carcass after a kill.

No th items were defeated as resolution to go before the NSFAH - Most felt - and somewhat agree, that they would get far a the large mammals table. BUT we were asked to try to get the bear info - more bear info into the regs summary or a handout to be passed out with th epurchase of a license - Most of the folks there agreed that this is what should be done so is what will l be done. The letter will adrress the points in the three resolutions but will stress the education part of it.
