Oh the things your going to have to know.
Rules
1 if your shooting a compound your get one arrow per target, if trad bow (self, long or recurve) two arrows per target.
2 If compound you have to figure out which class your shooting (the host clubs will help with that) and shoot form what ever color ribbon or stake they say. Same for trad bows
3 Trad bow shots are usually 30 yards max, conpounds more.
Scoring
the 3D and 2D targets will have rings on them in the "KILL" or vital area. The bigger the target the more rings. Small targets mostly have only 2 rings where the bigger ones will have 3
Arrow hitting outside the rings in body 5 points
Arrow breaking a line on a ring you score UP in the points.
Arrow inside the first (largest) ring 8 points
inside the next smaller ring 10 points.
if there is a third ring it's a 10X ring. Trad guys just score it 10 where as the compounder's score it as a 10X because at the end of the round they often determine the high score by the number of 10X's.
At shoots you will be put in a group of people shooting similar bows Trad or compound. There will be somebody in your group who will help you look for your lost arrows, and there will be lost ones.
