Well the question is , what do you use for hunting shafts? Why is that your shaft of choice?

ALUMINUM for me, not as much cause its my preferance, as i have never really used anything else for more than a few shots, but because they were the most available for a long time, as canadian tire & wallmart (thats where us lazy YAHOO's shop) both carried them "ready to shoot" with very little investment. I am learning , slowly, that some of my cheaper options do are not the best option the long run, but being cheap is not a sport for me, it's a way of life. I do hope to , someday soon Pointy Sticks , take you up on your offer to show me how to make my own wood arrows.

Alpo when ever your ready, I'll show you the way to the other side. lol Cheep as you would say is the reason that I got into making my own, I can make a dozen cheaper that I can buy a dozen. Even if I buy all the shafts and feathers nocks and tips, I still save on the labor cost of somebody else putting them together. Then add the fact that I don't like them plan and simple and the cost savings goes way up. Any others have a shaft of choice that they prefer to use?
