Well looks like the 06 BANS Bang Up will be hosted by St Mary's Archers. Located just minutes outside of Truro it is a good location with room for camping. I would like to congratulate them for their interest in hosting the Bang-up for a second year and I personally am looking forward to seeing all of you there this summer.

St Mary's had a good post mortem meeting regarding last year's BANS shoot and some positive ideas were floated.
Currently we have to clear trails again after high winds.
There are a lot of good changes planned for this year's shoot and it promises to be a good time.
Str Mary's will be hosting a one day shoot in April - come to this shoot for a preview of some of the changes planned for the BANG UP

Well folks it's time to start thinking about this years Bang Up. Anybody who is willing to donate anything to either BANS, or St Mary's Archers for give aways let us know. I have already started by asking a couple businesses in the Truro area, and so far I have had positive responces. Lets work on making this one a heck of a good time for all who go, and make those who don't wish they did. ;D ;D ;D

Hey shooter, I'll answer any questions I can for you. The BANS Bang up is our annual 3D shoot. Each year it is hosted by one of the archery clubs in NS. It is always a two day shoot and is put on for the members of BANS, and anyone else to have a good time. It's a time where as a member of BANS you get to meet fellow bowhunters who wish to support the sport.
The shoot is one round Saturday morning and another Saturday afternoon. These are usually followed by some "fun" shoots in the afternoon to allow everyone a chance to test their abilities. Sunday is usually another two rounds before the awards are given out.
These are "NOT" AANS sanctioned shoots where point tallies count for Provincial standings, but there are a lot of 3D shooters who will come for the fun of shooting.
This year the shoot will again be hosted by St Mary's Archers in Hilden NS (just outside Truro). There was a turn out of about 50 shooters last year and a good time was had.

What is the actual date of the shoot, the cost and can a person shoot only one day if it is not possible to make both days?

Biggame the shoot dates are July 15-16 and it is being hosted by St Mary's Archers. Yes you can shoot only one day if that is all you can make it for. We might not even charge you the $150.00 dollar handling fee.  ;D  JK |

I will be there. Maybe not both day but one for sure, probably Sunday. I have 6 new pointy sticks from pointy sticks and my recurve ready to go.
