Bass River Bunny Hunt

Anyone know when this is? I have never been and would like to go. Can any bow hunter go?

It is in January, I'll find out the date - Peter Christiansen in Bass River organizes it. Any bowhunter an attend, they will find a "team" for you or you can come in a group. it is a great time and the food is good !

Most teams average 4-6. I don't even know how many will be on the team I was on last year. I'm working on getting the date for you - Directions are easy and will follow

rumor has it that the bunny hunt is going to be on January 14 ,06. This is a fun time to get together and enjoy the outdoors. Meet some new people and maybe even learn a thing or two.

hello from rabitt town. the hunt is on jan 14 06, breakfast starts at 8 am eggs bacon pancakes toast coffee, well maybe not in that order!. You get to go hunt round tenish, if you do not have a team we will get you one .Last year I guided for some great guys ,that was fun. For those who have not shot anything yet , if you come i am sure that don,john, kevin or bernie can show you how . they always get something!!. which is great. After you get a team pick a zone from the list, then around 5 you come for supper, which may include , chili, chowder,lasanga,who knows,then we hand over the plauqe to don and the boys, then go home all for 20 bucks . no broadheads.

hi peter again . Any bow will do ,but no cross bows . of course no broadheads please ,snowshoes are optional!!! The snow up here is a little over my calfs, but since the cows are herefords ,the calfs are not that tall. should be a great timeanyway. it easy to get to bass river , just head out past truro , turn off at masstown , take the road to great village and 15 minutes past great village you will be in rabbitt town . as you cross the bridge keep left and the fire hall is on the left about 300 yards ahead. there is no gas station in bass river now bring a full tank. you can get gas in great village, not from the meals though see ya there

Chili, chowder or who knows whats in the pot. It is always a good feed after a full day of buggsy huntin. Hope to see a big crowd again this year.

In the vein of constructive critcism...... I like the idea of hunters drawing their respective hunting "zone" as opposed to a free-for-all !

However, that is really small potatos, and not meant to tarnish such a fun filled day !
